NO ON PROP 36
We believe we’re all safer when everyone has food on their table, a roof over their head, and the care they need.
No on Prop 36
We’re Voting NO on Prop 36 because it’s extremely dangerous to our safety. It cuts funding for programs proven to reduce crime and homelessness. The worst part is that it expands prison spending by $26 billion, and it’s paid by us, everyday people. This money could be much better used for housing, healthcare, and schools across the state.
Won’t Prop 36 prevent crime and connect people to more treatment?
Prop 36 cuts $750 million in the next decade from mental health treatment and rehabilitation programs that are proven to reduce repeat crime.
Prop 36 was put on the ballot by billionaire corporations and special interest groups who are trying to drag our California back into a system of punishment and cruelty just so they can profit. Next time you see a commercial online, please pay attention to who is paying for it.
Violence and crime are high! We need more police in our community to be safe. Why should my money keep going to help criminals?
Prop 36 will actually waste $26 billion of taxpayer dollars on jails and prisons – money that could go to schools, roads, healthcare, and other things Californians need.
Voting NO on Prop 36 will ensure that our communities have access to crucial services and programs that have been proven to reduce crime, like mental health treatment, rehabilitation and housing programs.
This November, let’s take a comprehensive approach to safety and vote No on Prop 36!
